SWFL Home Inspector LLC
Cape Coral, Florida
Effective date: 08/05/2026
SWFL Home Inspector LLC (“SWFL Home Inspector,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a one-inspector home inspection company providing wind mitigation inspections, 4-point inspections, and third nail checks in Southwest Florida. This policy explains what information we collect through swflhomeinspector.com, what we do with it, and what we do not do with it.
The short version: we are a small local service business, not a marketing company. We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not add you to any mailing or text list because you filled out a form.
1. Information You Send Us Through This Website
This website has two forms:
- Contact Form (on our Contact Us page)
- Free Online Estimate Form (on our Get a Free Online Estimate page)
Both forms ask for some combination of the following: first and last name, email address, phone number, property address (street, city, state, ZIP, country), the type of inspection you are asking about, and any message you choose to write.
How that information is handled:
- Your submission is emailed to us and is also saved as an entry in our website’s form system, so we have a record of what you sent.
- Estimate requests are priced and emailed back to you automatically by our own system, usually within a minute.
- We use your information only to answer your question, send your quote, and schedule your inspection if you decide to book.
- We do not add form submissions to a mailing list, a text message list, or any advertising audience.
- We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your information with data brokers, lead generators, or any other company for their own marketing.
- If you do not book an inspection with us, we delete the stored form entry. We clear out non-converting submissions roughly every 90 days.
You are welcome to contact us by phone, text, or email instead of using a form. Our phone numbers and hours are listed on our Contact Us page.
2. Information We Keep About Actual Customers
Once you schedule an inspection and become a customer, we do keep records. This is the only situation in which we maintain files on an individual.
Those records typically include:
- Your name, phone number, and email address
- The address of the property inspected
- Appointment details and scheduling notes
- Information about the property gathered during the inspection, including photographs of the structure, roof, attic, and openings
- A copy of the completed inspection report
- Billing and payment records
We keep these records to perform the inspection you hired us for, to deliver your report, to answer follow-up questions from you or your insurance agent, to handle billing, and to satisfy the recordkeeping obligations that apply to licensed Florida home inspectors and to our insurance carrier.
Inspection reports are delivered to you by email in PDF format, typically the next business day.
3. Who We Share Customer Information With
We share customer information only in these situations:
- At your direction. If you ask us to send your report directly to your insurance agent, insurance carrier, real estate agent, lender, or a family member, we will.
- With the trade contractor who referred you, and only when that contractor is already involved in your job. Much of our work comes by referral from roofing, window, door, shutter, garage door, and third nail contractors. If one of them referred you to us or is coordinating work on your home, we may confirm scheduling or report results with them as part of completing that job.
- With service providers we rely on to operate, such as our web host, our email provider, and our payment processor. They handle information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
- When required by law, such as a subpoena, court order, or a request from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation or another regulator with authority over our license.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Payments
We accept payment through Square. Card numbers are entered with and processed by Square; we do not receive or store full card numbers. We retain only a record of the amount paid, the date, and the invoice.
5. Text Messages
We publish text lines for scheduling and support. If you text us, your phone number and the content of your messages are stored on our business phone in the ordinary way, and we use them to communicate with you about your inquiry, appointment, or report.
We do not share your mobile phone number with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes, and we do not sell mobile phone numbers or SMS consent to anyone. Messages you send us are used only to serve you. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
6. Cookies and Website Analytics
Yes, this website uses cookies — mostly for basic function and for traffic statistics.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics, delivered through Google Tag Manager and the Google Site Kit plugin, to understand how many people visit the site, which pages they read, and roughly what part of the country they come from. Google sets cookies on your browser to do this. We use it to see whether our pages are useful and whether our advertising is working — not to identify you personally. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not connect analytics data to inspection customer records.
Website function. Our website runs on WordPress, which may set cookies to keep the site working properly, remember basic display preferences, and protect our forms against spam submissions.
Embedded map. Our service area map is embedded from a third-party mapping provider. When that map loads, the provider may set its own cookies and receive your IP address. That is governed by the provider’s own privacy policy, not ours.
Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features may behave differently. You can also install Google’s browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics across all websites, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Most browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” setting; there is currently no common industry standard for responding to those signals, so we do not respond to them.
7. Server Logs
Like nearly every website, our web host automatically records standard server log information when a page is requested — IP address, browser type, referring page, and date and time. This is generated by the hosting infrastructure for security and troubleshooting. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.
8. Links to Other Sites
Our website links to other sites, including our Facebook page and our informational sites about wind mitigation and 4-point inspections. This policy applies only to swflhomeinspector.com. Once you follow a link elsewhere, that site’s privacy policy governs.
9. Security
Our website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and we take reasonable steps to protect the customer records we hold, including access controls on the devices and accounts where inspection files live. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send us Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, bank account numbers, or full credit card numbers through the website forms or by text — we never need them.
10. Children
Our services are for property owners and businesses. This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Your Choices and Requests
You may contact us at any time to:
- Ask what information we hold about you
- Ask for a correction to your customer record
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to any records we are required to retain by law, by our license, or by our insurance carrier
- Ask us to stop contacting you
Use the contact information at the bottom of this page. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge you for a reasonable request.
12. Changes to This Policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
